The 25 acre lake is ideal for sailing and windsurfing enthusiasts. We hope to be able to offer open water swimming this year.

The lake is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is home to wildlife and many rare breeds. You can fish from one of the jetties or enjoy rowing on the lake in your own boat – or just feed the ducks – it’s all part of the relaxing atmosphere created at Marton Pool.

Marton Pool is a natural lake, detached from the main series of Shropshire meres.  It is among the most valuable of the Shropshire meres for aquatic plants, noted for its diverse submerged aquatic flora and extensive reed beds.  White and yellow water lilies are also present Other on-site attractions include a beautifully situated outdoor heated swimming pool (surrounded on all sides by a walled garden) where you can simply relax or enjoy the benefits of a gentle swim.  The woodland adventure playground is a paradise for children, with a climbing frame, slide, and other activities all in a safe environment.

If you’re feeling energetic, the whole family can enjoy a game of tennis on our full size all-weather court or experience our fitness room whilst you enjoy the stunning view of our swimming pool. Our beautifully maintained grounds are landscaped to make all holiday homes as private as possible. We take great pride in the appearance of the park.

The pool is of local importance for breeding birds which include the reed warbler, for which this is one of the most important sites in Shropshire and has been awarded the SSSI status.
